Radio Frequency Framework in SAP EWM
Define Logical Functions
You can use this IMG activity to define modules for logical transactions and to create logical transactions for the RF framework.
The following modules are available to you, which you can extend using you own entried along with the standard entries:
Application parameters with assignment to a structure or table type from the ABAP Dictionary
Display profiles with respective personalization profiles
Steps with respective statuses
Function codes with corresponding text on pushbuttons in the respective languages
Validation objects
Logical transactions consist of the following modules:
Display texts in the respective languages
Step process flow based on the function codes
Flow between logical transactions for controlling at the end of a logical transaction, such as restarting the logical transaction or returning to the menu
Validation profile with assignment of validation object to input field and comparison field
Function code profile with assignment of function codes to a function key, pushbutton, and keyboard command
Mapping a step of a logical transaction to a sub-screens
Assign Presentation Profile to Warehouse
In this IMG activity you can assign the presentation profile to the warehouse number.
The presentation profile is used to control warehouse specific implementations of the RF transactions.
Define your presentation profiles in the IMG or use the default presentation profile.
SAP delivers the default presentation profile ****
The presentation profile is part of the following tables and influence the entries selected from these tables:
Menu Hierarchy
Personalization Profile
Function Code Profile
Intra-Transaction Step Flow
Mapping of Logical Transaction Step to Sub-Screen
Inter-Transaction Flow
Validation Profile
Maintain Bar Code Specification
In this Customizing activity, you can define the following attributes:
The barcode types, including the general parameters for each application identifier (AI)
An introductory AI describes the type and the structure of the data within a bar code. Examples of AIs and their corresponding data are as follows:
00 for handling unit number or Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC)
10 for batch number
21 for serial number
Individual AIs for each bar code type
Delimiters for variable bar codes, depending on the used device type
Assignment of a bar code type to a warehouse number
This is an optional step that's only needed if you have several bar code types with the same prefix but with different AI definitions.
Assign F keys to Standard Functions
In this IMG activity you assign F-keys to the standard functions.
The split screen wizard uses the F-keys assigned for standard functions to determine the corresponding f-codes from the F-code profile.
The split screen wizard automatically inserts these determined F-codes for backward and forward navigation to facilitate proper navigation between the resulting screens.
SAP delivers the following default entries:
Application - 01
Backward Navigation - F7
Forward Navigation - ENT
More - F5
Clear Field - F6
List - F8
Full Message - F9
Resource Management
Define Resource Types
In this Customizing activity, you define resource types, including the following:
Name and description
Horizontal velocity
Applicability of position management to the resource type
Bin access types in which the resource type is qualified to work
Handling unit type groups with which the resource type is qualified to work
Layout type (optional)
Category of resource type, which controls the way in which you can use the resource type when using a mobile radio frequency (RF) device
Define Queue Types
In this Customizing activity, you define queue types in the warehouse.
Queue types influence warehouse order (WO) selection for a resource during task interleaving in a radio frequency (RF) environment.
Define Queues
In this Customizing activity, you can perform the following actions:
Define queues, including their operating environments
Queues influence warehouse order selection for a resource.
Define queue determination criteria for each queue
The warehouse tasks can be assigned to a queue based on one or more of the following parameters:
Source Activity Area
Destination Activity Area
Bin Access Type
Warehouse Process Type
Define the queue access sequence
When, for a specific warehouse task, the system searches for a queue, the initial search will be for an entry with all the relevant warehouse task parameters' values, as determined by the first entry in the queue access sequence. If the search fails, the queue determination table will be read again, according to the next entry in the sequence.
Maintain Resource Group
Maintain Queue Sequence for Resource Group
Maintain Resource
Maintain User
Maintain Queue Type Sequence
