What is Storage location Control in SAP ERP WM?
LE WM allows management of several storage locations in one warehouse number. Storage location reference allows controlling storage type search strategy depending on a storage location where a material movement is posted. Â
Business Scenario to use of Storage location Control
There are two storage locations TGR and RWH under plant RJ23, Storage location TGR is used for temporary receiving of goods. After that the material placed in warehouse in respective shelf, the storage location of the goods automatically changed to RWH.
This scenario can be realized by using storage control functionality in SAP ERP Warehouse Management module.
Configuration Steps for Storage location Control
1. Maintain Storage Location in Plant
Plant RJ23 maintained two storage location
RWH
TGR
2. Assign Plant Storage Location to Warehouse
3. Assign Goods Receipt Point to Inbound Delivery
4. Storage location control configuration
